The heating tape is self-limiting. The lower tetemperature the higher is the power. But it never switches off.  Because of that, don't forget to order a thermostat or the snow control system in acessories-for-gutter heating  

You can get the self-regulating heating cable to manufacture it yourself or (recommended) terminated with 3m cold cable and an end seal. If you decide to terminate the cable by yourself you can find the usable terminationkit in acessories-for-gutter heating and you can cut it to the length you need (minimum one, maximum seventy meter).
